Team Lead Project Management - Renewables & Transmission

**Position Overview**:
As the Team Lead of Project Management for a leading EPC based in Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of utility-scale renewable and power projects from conception to completion. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage the project team, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality energy solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**

Leadership and Team Management:

- Lead and inspire a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to achieve project objectives and goals
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to project management staff to enhance their performance and professional growth
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and promotes innovation

Project Planning and Strategy:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop a comprehensive project management strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate projects and identify viable opportunities
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for each project, ensuring effective resource allocation

Project Execution and Monitoring:

- Oversee the execution of multiple renewable / power / solar / wind / BESS project simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project plans and industry standards
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle

Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation
- Conduct regular project status meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders

Quality Control and Assurance:

- Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality power infrastructure
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify that project deliverables meet established standards

Budget and Cost Management:

- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and make data-driven decisions to optimize project costs
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality and timelines

Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and achievements
- Ensure proper documentation of all project-related activities, contracts, and correspondence

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within the power or renewable energy industry
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and certifications related to projects
