Team Lead Project Management - Renewables & Transmission

Position Overview:


As the Team Lead of Project Management for a leading EPC based in Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of utility-scale renewable and power projects from conception to completion.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage the project team, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality energy solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to achieve project objectives and goals
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to project management staff to enhance their performance and professional growth
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and promotes innovation

Project Planning and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop a comprehensive project management strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate projects and identify viable opportunities
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for each project, ensuring effective resource allocation

Project Execution and Monitoring:

  • Oversee the execution of multiple renewable / power / solar / wind / BESS project simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project plans and industry standards
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders

Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure the delivery of highquality power infrastructure
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify that project deliverables meet established standards

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and make datadriven decisions to optimize project costs
  • Identify potential costsaving opportunities without compromising project quality and timelines

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and achievements
  • Ensure proper documentation of all projectrelated activities, contracts, and correspondence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably within the power or renewable energy industry
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational and problemsolving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and certifications related to projects
