**About the role**

This position will play a key role in collaborating with all levels of management in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing organisational strategy to increase Buildsafe’s footprint and brand within Queensland, ensuring financial sustainability, profitability and revenue growth.

This is a hands on role based predominantly out of our QLD head office in Arundel, with regular travel to various branches in South east QLD. You will lead the QLD Sales team and the QLD State Operations Manager who oversees a passionate team of Branch Managers, to drive and optimize performance. The industry is forever changing, with this in mind you will thrive in both reactive and proactive environments. You will grow key areas of the QLD business, whilst identifying needs for development and enforcing innovative initiatives.

Your role will include:

- Strategy - Execution of strategic operational business plan to ensure the business delivers within the national framework.
- Operations - Ensuring day to day business activities are running effectively and liaison with internal Departments including Branches, Sales, HR, Compliance to drive business performance, efficiencies and continuous improvement
- Business Development - Drive sales and brand, for the overall profitability and growth of the business within the SE QLD region. Portfolio $52M annual turnover
- Financial - Budget Management, Capital and Product. Business forecasts, KPI targets, profitability and cashflow
- Culture - Empower and motivate the team to achieve a shared sense of vision and promotion of Buildsafe Core Values retention and people growth

You will play a pivotal role in our Buildsafe family, as a senior leader you will encourage a culture of continuous improvement; whilst ensuring the safety, health, job satisfaction and well-being of all staff.

Other skills and experience to aid with your success include:

- Ability to lead, engage and empower a team
- Construction industry experience preferred although not essential
- Recent extensive Senior Management experience
- Strong business acumen, strategic and analytical thinker
- Strategic economic planning/forecasting skills
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties
- The ability to demonstrate agility and adaptability in line with the business growth
