**Library Services**

Georges River Libraries are a place where people come together to share ideas, knowledge and experiences. It's a place where they can go to relax and escape, learn and be inspired. Our community can explore a range of books, manuscripts, photographs, films, maps and online resources as well as special objects our ‘Library of Things’. From digital cameras and musical instruments to international language books and unique local collections, you will discover a wide range of items to enjoy at the library. **About the Opportunity**
- Full -Time, 70 Hours per fortnight, including night shifts and weekends
- Salary from $78,788.61 - $91,288.49 per annum plus 11% superannuation

The purpose of this role to provide expert advice, support, training and programs regarding online resources, collections and technology. The position includes the implementation and management of the library’s digital collections, delivery of customer and staff training programs, proposal and evaluation reporting, data analysis and collection management. The role also contributes to the efficient and effective operations of the Georges River Libraries through providing high quality customer experience through services, resources, programs and loan desk and roving tasks as required. This position may act as Team Leader Library Information Technology as required.

**In this role you will**:

- Researching, implementing and supporting the library's digital collections, online resources and technology
- Designing and delivering programs and training to staff and customers
- Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, policies and procedures
- Assisting with the collection and reporting of statistical data
- Assisting with the maintenance of the library's online content

**Selection Criteria**:
**Qualifications, Certificates & Licences**
- Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in Library and Information Science at Librarian level or equivalent.

**Essential**
- Demonstrated experience in supporting digital collections, online services and technology in public libraries.
- High level skills in providing customer service and delivering programs in public libraries.
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communication including effective business writing, running meetings, providing training and consulting with stakeholders.
- Experience working with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in effective time management including project planning.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment.
