**The Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal Affairs Lead to join a dynamic, high performing and collaborative Corporate Affairs Team. As the lead, you will be the driver for Aboriginal Affairs initiatives such as WesCEF’s Reconciliation Action Plan commitments, promoting our inclusive culture and our employment strategies across various businesses. You will play an integral role in supporting our Aboriginal workforce.

**Pursuant of Section 50(D) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the occupant of this position must be of Australian Aboriginal descent.**

**In addition, your key responsibilities include**:

- Lead and coordinate WesCEF’s involvement with the Wesfarmers Employment Initiatives.
- Lead the coordination of WesCEF’s Aboriginal Community Partnerships/ Grants program.
- Develop and implement a framework for pastoral care support for WesCEF employees.
- Liaise with and develop links with key external government bodies and represent the Business on regional and national forums and working groups.
- Develop and implement key targets and measurements across all Aboriginal Affairs initiatives/strategies to ensure appropriate governance and to report on success of strategies.
- Create, implement and evaluate policies and procedures, when required, at a corporate level to embed within WesCEF’s Corporate Plan.
- Engage, educate and develop programs to enable a capability uplift in cultural competence across the Business.
- Provide leadership and development to the direct report ensuring they are engaged, high performing, and aware of KPIs and the function’s strategic objectives.

**About You**
- Significant experience (at least 10 years) in delivering a broad range of Aboriginal engagement and involvement initiatives or services
- Extensive understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal cultures, labour market and programs
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport, motivate and positively influence others
- Strong attention to detail, computer skills and time management capabilities
