**The role**
Australian owned engineering consultancy is seeking an Automation Specialist, perhaps a Software Engineer to help them build efficiencies into their engineering offering.

You will be building programmes and implementing plans to maximise effective use of current and future software, to keep the business at the forefront of technology.

This is a new role, a one-of-a-kind. There’s no large IT team, you’ll be working alongside engineers (engineers with vision) and you’ll be the sole person doing this job. You need to know your job fairly well but you’ll need to appreciate that the possibilities are endless and the journey is all yours to travel as you wish.

You’ll be working with software such as Navisworks, Dynamo, Python, Civil3D, 12D, AutoCAD, Adobe and any others you suggest. There’s a Virtual Reality team you’ll pair with and some IT leads who you may need to chat to too.

Engineers can be introverts too and that’s OK. We don’t expect you to be a Duracell Bunny, just ‘show up’.

**Which humans?**
You’ll be joining a team of 20 professionals. Flexibility is norm but they don’t love Work From Home unless the government says we must. Collaboration is key and they are strong believers of doing that together.
**You’ll thus be based in Southbank offices.**

They will also pay you for your endeavours. Probably around the $80k - $100k plus Super mark, to match your experience.

**A couple of things you’ll need**:

- Software Engineering Degree. 3-10 years’ industry experience, in Australia.
- Willingness to have a go and to speak up about your own ideas. You’re the expert here..
- Some experience in an engineering environment would be helpful
- An interest in engineering, or, an interest in buildings or the outdoors, or the environment, or tech, or music. Yes, music. You’ll see why when you interview.
