**About the Opportunity**

The Payroll Analyst will be part of a project supporting a review to assess RACV’s compliance with relevant industrial instruments and enterprise agreements, identifying and verifying any compliance issues, and supporting the processing of any back pay owed to current and former employees.

You will work with People & Culture (P&C), Payroll, Risk & Legal and external consultants to support detailed review over RACV’s compliance relating to Enterprise Agreements (EA) and underlying industrial instrument obligations.

Project activities will span:

- Supporting an external consultant lead detailed review and assessment of RACV’s payroll obligations under industrial instruments and RACV’s Enterprise Agreements.
- Reviewing analytics of multi-year periods to assess Award/EA alignment, reviewing roster, timesheet, and payroll information to verify potential compliance issues.
- Supporting the quantification of identified compliance issues to support the processing of back pay to current and former employees.
- Performing root cause analysis on identified compliance issues and supporting relevant teams across RACV to identify and implement strategic solutions.

**What you’ll need to be successful**
- Diploma or equivalent in Payroll or accounting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a complex payroll environment, including resolution of complex payroll exceptions
- Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Able to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience interpreting industrial instruments, particularly Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards and HR Policies.
- Payroll & Time keeping system experience (Preferably SAP and/or Kronos)
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll related laws, regulations and compliance activities and Superannuation legislation
