About the opportunity   

Payroll Operations is in a continual state of change due to legislation and policy updates. The Payroll Governance and Compliance Analyst will support the Payroll Governance and Compliance Manager in the implementation and monitoring of holistic governance and compliance payroll controls as well as supporting the continuous improvement of payroll tasks. 

In this position, you will conduct Time & Attendance and Payroll checks to ensure that the underlying systems, processes, and controls result in outcomes that are compliant with EBAs, Awards, and employment legislation.

What you’ll deliver with us  

The position will be work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate compliance occurs with regards to legislative and policy changes in the business.

You’ll also   

  • Contribute to the strategic and proactive Time & Attendance and Payroll governance and compliance to support identification and resolution of Payroll risks and issues, supporting the delivery of on-time, accurate pay outcomes across the Australia Post workforce
  • Support the Payroll Governance and Compliance Manager in the proactive, timely and comprehensive response to issues, risks and reviews which arise from internal and external compliance, internal audit, and remediation reviews
  • Complete data analysis and review on payroll data to ensure compliance with legislation and EBAs
  • Actively updating Payroll compliance risk register and continuous improvement backlog
     
     

About you  

You will be someone who enjoys reviewing large volumes of data and creating easier ways for this data to be viewed. You will be a storyteller and able to easily communicate key findings when completing compliance checks. This position will suit someone who has an Analyst background and has experience with payroll governance. 
 

You’ll also need   

  • Previous experience working in a HR and payroll environment
  • Knowledge in payroll relevant legislation and policies
  • Experience in implementing payroll governance controls
  • Experience in working on remediation tasks and analysing large data sets. 
  • Knowledge of SAP payroll system and knowledge on Time and Attendance systems (preferred)
