As the Advanced Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide leadership and operational management of the multi-disciplinary team of StaRS staff to ensure safe, efficient and effective service delivery to patients and their families. You will be responsible for your professional practice and service in areas including but not limited to staffing methodologies, recruitment and selection, human resource management, financial administration, bed and resource management, accreditation and risk management processes and information systems management for the STaRS service.

The STaRS service provides care to older population typically aged over 65 years of age, who require Restorative Care Program and Care Awaiting Placement South (CAPS) service, and those who are medically stable with ongoing requirements that are preventing discharge. This includes provision of multidisciplinary restorative care, supporting patient wellbeing and maximising independence, whilst providing patient centred discharge planning to support patient access to services that facilitate transition to the community.
