Environmental Compliance Officer, based in the north shore, open to hybrid working

**Your new role**
- Review environmental and planning reports.
- Investigate breaches of development and building consents as well as unauthorised land uses
- Investigate land, noise, air and water pollution offences.
- Obtain and present evidence in relation to legal proceedings on behalf of Council in the Local and Land and Environment Courts.
- Ensure that the customers’ needs are met at a level of service as documented in Council’s Service Specification.
- Opportunities to visit other business premises in order to assist with the administrative functions of their Planning and Compliance Divisions.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related discipline
- Experience preparing complex reports, briefs of evidence and providing evidence at Court Hearings as well as issuing official notices and orders.
- A demonstrated history of providing excellent customer service while working both independently and as part of a larger team.
