The role

Country Road Group are seeking a motivated and diligent Ethical Sourcing Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all suppliers across our business comply with our codes of practise, policies and protocols, and adhere to the high standards set by the business. This will include induction and onboarding new suppliers onto our ethical sourcing platform including utilisation of the SEDEX database, conducting risk assessments and following up on non-compliances. In addition to this, you will have input into supporting the development of ethical policies & projects, and educate both internal and external stakeholders on this program.

Key responsibilities
- Assist with development, and communication with internal and external stakeholders of, policies, standards and position statements related to ethical sourcing
- Undertake data collection to populate and administer monitoring and reporting systems to track supply chain ethical sourcing impacts and initiatives in particular related to labour standards, environment, corruption and bribery and animal welfare
- Develop and support new initiatives to strengthen compliance and support empowerment of our supply chain
- Engage with the internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and promote responsible sourcing practises including NGO’s and Multi Stakeholder initiatives
- Manage social compliance and adherence to our Code of Conduct across all suppliers, including Fashion, Non-Trade procurement and Food
- Regularly report on key analytical measures within our program
- Provide functional support to the Sourcing Operations Manager & GM of Sourcing, as required
- Support with internal ethical training including seminars, webinars, small group engagement and one on one training where required
- Monitor regulatory, competitor and media developments relating to ethical sourcing.
