**About the team**:
Questacon is Australia’s National Science & Technology Centre. We harness imagination and wonderment to make science fun and relevant for all. Our vision is for a better future for all Australians through engagement with science, technology and innovation.
Questacon Programs Managers are critical to the delivery of public programs and may be recruited for one of two teams - Learning Experiences or National Touring Programs.
The Learning Experiences team plays a key role in ensuring visitors to Questacon have an excellent experience. They do this through the development and delivery of a range of engaging and educational experiences:
- Facilitated inquiry-based learning experiences in QLab
- Open inquiry activities in The Shed
- Spectacular Science Shows
- Early Learning programs such as Science Time
- Public engagement through events within, around and external to Questacon
The National Touring Programs Team delivers informal STEM engagement programs nationally to regional and remote areas across Australia. Programs include:
- In-person and virtual science activities for primary and secondary students
- Travelling pop-up science centres for regional communities
- Professional learning workshops
- Agile public events and activities which highlight the benefits of informal learning in classrooms and diverse community settings

**What you will do**:
- Lead a high performing team of staff (incl. casual staff) to deliver public facing STEM engagement programs operating 7-days per week
- Ensure the high quality and integrity of the content developed and delivered to maintain Questacon’s reputation as one of the leading informal STEM education organisations in Australia
- Oversee project management, budgets, ASL, recruitment, training, WHS risk and reporting requirements
- Inspire, explore and develop new program opportunities and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders from across Australia
- Anticipate and plan for operational resourcing and strategic needs
