**A bit about the role**

Due to an internal secondment, we are seeking an experienced Public Art & Collections Officer to join Wyndham’s Arts & Culture team. Your specialised knowledge will drive you to deliver great public art outcomes for the Wyndham community. Drawing on your public art expertise, you will be guided by Wyndham’s 2022-2032 Public Art Plan to manage, commission and research public art experiences for our growing community. Our public art program is informed by commitments to the Vision outlined in the Public Art Plan, best practice, and a commitment to consultation so that the program reflects the growth and needs of our community.

You bring with you relevant industry networks, applied knowledge of contemporary approaches to public art and expertise in delivering great public art outcomes. Your strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with confidence and your can-do attitude will see you succeed in realising the ambitions that Wyndham has for its public art collection.

**What you’ll deliver**
- A wide range of exciting public art projects across Wyndham
- Drive Council’s success in achieving the vision set out in the Public Art Plan (2022-2032) and the Public Art & Collections Policy 2019
- Dynamic and contemporary public art for Wyndham, taking residents and visitors on a journey
- Proactive, creative, and innovative ideas to take Wyndham’s public art to the next level.

**What you’ll bring**
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering public art and collections programs and assets, local government experience preferable.
- Experience in and understanding of the role of external and expert advisory panels.
- Strong network of industry connections, including established and emerging artists.
- Passion for art and ambitious vision of Wyndham’s public art outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively across Council teams to achieve great outcomes.
- Degree or Diploma in Visual Arts, Contemporary Arts, Curation, or related discipline.
- A positive, curious, and flexible mind.
