The purpose of this role is to manage a range of administrative, financial support and human resource services while providing a high level of quality confidential executive and administrative support to the Director.

**The Administration Officer, AO3 is a role in which you will**:
1. Use departmental databases and information systems to manage accurate records, produce reports and statistical information. Manage office assets including phones, motor vehicles and office and field equipment.

2. Provide accurate and timely information to management and staff on a range of administrative matters including human resource management, financial management, general administration and the status of the work being undertaken and work procedures e.g. issuing of invoices and tracking of the progress of payments, correspondence and records management systems.

3. Undertake business support tasks such as procurement and purchasing, journals, corporate card, travel management, accounts payable as well as human resources and establishment management.

4. Identify areas of operational improvement and assist in devising and implementing solutions to improve efficiency including the development of effective work practices and procedures.

5. Liaise and confer on a regular basis with staff of all levels and with external clients as required.

6. Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.

To be eligible for appointment to this position, you must provide evidence that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

There are no mandatory qualifications required to undertake this position. However, it would be highly desirable if the applicant had the knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of State Government's - Financial and Purchasing policies and practices, other Agency policies and computerised records management systems. Proven intermediate computer skills including Microsoft programs (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) will also be highly regarded.
