**A**bout the role**:
We are seeking a suitably experienced maintenance officer to work within the Lutheran Services aged care team. The position is based at Salem Northridge in Toowoomba.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the role will see you will play an important part in providing exceptional quality of work to Lutheran services and the residents of Northridge.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Maintaining the buildings and extensive gardens and lawns to a high standard.
- Cleaning of the building’s internal, external and common areas
- Coordinating and undertaking exit and entry cleans.
- Maintaining an awareness of and ascertaining the general condition of common areas and assets.
- Reporting on all things requiring repair by a skilled contractor or creating a hazard or danger that would require rectification by a skilled contractor.
- Implementing WH&S compliance including evacuation rehearsal drills and safety briefings.

**You will have**:

- Previous hands on experience in repairs and maintenance.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and to deadlines
- Clear understanding of WHS safe practices
- Australian Driver’s license
- Have or be willing to undertake a valid Police Check
- A high level of effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Respect and responsiveness to client needs
- A willingness to work with non-traditional approaches to service delivery for older people.
