**The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT)** has been the leading Australian provider of engineering and IT education and research for over 150 years. We are a multidisciplinary School organised into three key areas; Computing and Information Systems (CIS), Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (CBE) and Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering (EMI). **About the Role**

You will step into an impactful, purpose-driven role driving business improvement activities across the Faculty, including leading Health, Safety, Wellbeing, Quality and Compliance processes are upheld. Working collaboratively with other FEIT leaders and teams, you will support the alignment of the Faculties Health and Safety and Wellbeing activities with developing appropriate solutions to a number of health, safety and wellbeing concerns and implement a quality management system for the Faculty.

Responsibilities include:

- Lead, develop and coach a high functioning Business Improvement team, including Health Safety & Wellbeing, Quality Management, Business Improvement and Compliance to UOM and Faculty external and internal policies and procedures
- Oversee and monitor the strategic oversight and report on FEIT compliance with regard to Health Safety & Wellbeing, and Quality
- Work across all Departments and Schools within the Faculty, to drive a pragmatic, collaborative, best practice approach to Health Safety Wellbeing, Compliance and Quality. A consistent one Faculty approach
- Work collaboratively with a team of specialist technical experts who will act as partners to Teaching, Learning and Research activities
- Lead and drive overall compliance for research and laboratory activities across FEIT

**About You**

We are seeking a leader who will help shape our business improvement team, and will be capable of demonstrating your track record in relation to:

- Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation, and current industry standards
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, co-operatively, and efficiently
- Background in delivering HSW advisory services
- Proven ability to lead business improvement strategies, such as Quality management systems and/or change management
- Comprehensive understanding of integrated management systems in a laboratory or commercial environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and deliver client-focused services.
- Strong leadership and project delivery skills.
- Effective communication skills to build a strong culture of health, safety, and wellbeing and assist clients in managing OHS risks.
