**The Role**
The APS 4 Information and Records Management Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex information and records management work within an integrated workforce. They are required to perform information and records management activities and to maintain security classified information material in accordance with relevant legislative and Defence policies, procedures and requirements; a good understanding of and the ability to interpret and comply with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy is required.

A consistent approach to researching governance requirements to maintain currency and integrity of information and record management systems is necessary. The Information and Records Management Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow, making decisions within their scope of practice relating to their area of responsibility, and will seek guidance on more complex issues when required.

**About our Team**
The Anzac SPO sits within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) / Maritime System Division (MSD) / Major Surface Ships (MSS) Branch. The headquarters for the Anzac SPO is currently located in Rockingham, WA; with a move to Henderson (WA) planned within the next 6 months.

The Anzac SPO is primarily a governance, assurance and strategic planning enterprise which undertakes a governance and assurance role over the variety of outsourced performance based commercial contracts. These contracts span engineering, maintenance and logistics operations disciplines.

The Anzac SPO Information and Records Management Officer position sits within the Commercial and Governance team. The position reports to an APS6 Quality Manager.

We are seeking a motivated, self-starter who exemplifies professionalism, someone who works well independently, and collaboratively as an effective team member. You will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail who can communicate with influence. In this role you will oversee and manage the information and corporate records for the Anzac SPO and you will be responsible for ensuring personnel can efficiently access, and modify record information.
- Previous experience (preferred but not essential) in an Information and Records Management role.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of national legislation, General Records Authority, National Archives of Australia Disposal Embargoes and Freezes and (Defence policies - preferred but not essential) in relation to record management.
- Experience using a records management system such as Objective (Objective Work Group Coordinator preferred).
- Experience in managing and completing digitalisation project work.
- Must hold, or be eligible to obtain a NV1 security clearance.
