**Why Your Role Matters**:
The Library’s Scholarly Communications and Repositories Unit is responsible for leading the development of the Library’s research services, research reporting, repository infrastructure. This includes developing services and providing specialist systems and digital tools to support the management and reporting of a range of research outputs including publications, non
- traditional research outputs (NTROs) and research data, the development of the Library’s open access programs, and underpinning infrastructure.

This role will contribute to the Annual Research Outputs Collection (AROC) by leading and coordinating data cleaning, reporting, system monitoring and data analysis.

The Reporting Specialist supports the collection and management of data regarding UNSW’s research outputs and contributes to the accurate reporting of publications for the UNSW Annual Research Outputs Collection. The position is responsible for leading and coordinating system monitoring and data cleaning within UNSW’s Research Outputs System (ROS) and liaising with UNSW stakeholders to facilitate contributions to work on ROS and related systems or projects.

**Successful Applicants Will Have**:

- A degree and substantial relevant experience, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Experience in successfully managing metadata collections and coaching others in managing metadata in an online enterprise system.
- Demonstrated history of consistently taking the initiative in delivering client focussed services to a diverse range of people: technical, not-technical, administrators and researchers.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with and influence others successfully to engage them in collaborative processes.
- Good understanding of the research lifecycle, research assessment exercises and scholarly communication in academic institutions or research organisations and the ability to articulate this to others.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate business requirements to non-technical people, software developers and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to specify reporting requirements and to understand the nuances of reports generated by information systems.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
