**About the role**:
We are on the lookout for a driven and passionate internal auditor to join our high performing Internal Audit team based in Sydney on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting into the Senior Internal Audit Manager, who is based in Melbourne, you will support the business with evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management processes, and operational procedures. Your meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills will contribute to ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

**Duties**:

- Support Internal Audits performed by the Internal Audit partner; and ensure audit engagements are delivered on-time, on-budget and to the desired level of quality.
- Perform deep dives on areas identified as important or high risk as required.
- Stay up to date with changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure audits are current and relevant.
- Perform internal audits and reviews in line with the Annual Internal Audit Plan and/or upon instruction from the Senior Internal Audit Manager.
- Perform control testing and validate closed audit action items.

**Skills and experience**:

- Chartered Accountant (CA); Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA); or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- Audit experience in Big 4, Commercial or Government.
- Mature and confident approach to interact independently and effectively with stakeholders on a wide variety of topics in a professional manner.
- Understanding of internal control concepts, risk assessment methodologies, and audit procedures.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with team members.
