**About the Role...**

We are currently seeking a service-focused **Workplace Health and Safety Officer **who is able to work autonomously between two states.

Reporting to the Safety & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the workplace health and safety culture within the business - housekeeping departments in hotels. Conducting onsite audits for compliance, assist with training of health and safety on site to team members.

You will need to be able to travel between two large states ( NSW and QLD), hold a current drivers license and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will have a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to have positive involvement and interaction with all management team and employees.

**To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes**:

- Possess full Australian working rights
- Have a proven track record of workplace health and Safety
- Microsoft Office, Excel and word
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Possess strong organisation and time management skills
- Be a team player with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
- Demonstrate honesty and reliability
- Take pride in your work
- Be respectful and take accountability for yourself and your work
- A background in hospitality
