**About the position**

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic youth worker to assist in the delivery of the Sakura program in the Logan and Northern Gold Coast area to primary school and high school students in 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our school program team which aims to enhance the skill base and resilience of children to help them cope with life, in a fun environment. You will be trained and supported by our team of psychologists and support staff. Prior experience working with children and youth is important.

**Who we are**

Situated in the outer eastern suburbs of Logan City, Sakura Education Foundation Ltd is a not for profit organisation providing programs to children and adolescents. Our evidence based programs provide children and young people with the tools to build skills, enhance resilience, develop strategies to manage emotional and behavioural challenges utilising CBT and strength based approaches. Our team have extensive experience working with children and youth, have developed internationally acclaimed programs and are passionate about providing services to children and young people to ensure they have the skills that will equip them to manage themselves more effectively.

**Key responsibilities**
- Deliver psycho-educational programs to children and young people
- Work in collaboration with psychologists and youth workers
- Liaise with stakeholders

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Qualification/relevant experience and skills in working with children or youth
- a current Queensland Driver’s Licence
- a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- the ability to work in a team
- excellent communication and documentation skills
- previous experience working with children and/or young people
