**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Worker who is passionate about working with young people in challenging environments.

Job will be based at Julia reserve and will deliver programs in surrounding suburbs, the Youth Worker will work with the Camden team to deliver Streetgym, in school programmes and other youth focused activities across multiple sites.

You will also support our Coordinator to keep our Y Space Online platform current by liaising with community stakeholders to update listings and sourcing information to support young people so it would be awesome if you are comfortable on a computer.

**Essential Criteria**
- Experience working within a challenging environment and delivering outreach programs & activities.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services or related field
- Strong administration skills and use of technology (experience with wordpress is an advantage)
- Demonstrated ability working in a performance driven environment to meet performance targets and funding requirements.
- Understanding of current issues facing young people, particularly Camden youth.
- Ability to work individually with mínimal supervision and part of a team
- Confident to lead and participate in recreation activities.
- HLTAID004/ HLTAID012- Current First Aid and HLTAID009/ HLTAID001- Current CPR
- Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Current driver’s licence with own car

**Desirable**
- 2 + years’ experience working with vulnerable young people in a community setting
- Demonstrated experience in group facilitation skills, assisting and supporting young people with complex issues, in group settings and one on one.
- Experience in facilitating in sporting and recreation activities.
