Operations Supervisor

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
The Operations Supervisor is a primary part of the Operations team. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the in-field operators are supported in completing their duties. The supervisor will act as an extension of the operations manager and will give direction in the operations manager’s absence. The Supervisor must be self-motivated and able to make decisions and operate independently.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Workplace Safety
- Staff Rostering
- Competency-based driver assessments.
- Coordinate with Workshop re fleet availability and repairs
- Tool box talks
- Route productivity, including key/card access and GPS tracking
- MVA investigation, interviews and reporting.
- Driver inductions
- Driver debriefs
- Monitoring and reporting of bin weights
- E-tag and fuel card reconciliations
- Assisting the Operations Manager with any other day to day activity of the Department.

- MR license, HR preferable.

This role requires the person to work independently but to also be able to operate as part of a team, to show appropriate behaviours and respect to all our employees and work with a spirit of co-operation.

Due to its very nature, it requires someone who is trustworthy and who operates with unwavering integrity.

This is a leadership position and one that requires sensible and swift decision-making ability. The Operations Supervisor needs to be able to work independently and unsupervised.

Safety is paramount and as such the Operations Supervisor has to possess a safety commitment and embraced and promote our safety culture.
