Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
The Rail Asset Operationalisation Program Manager leads a multi-disciplinary team to successfully coordinate and facilitate the Cross River Rail Asset Changes Program. The Asset Changes program covers the transition from construction to operationalisation of new above ground assets into the operational Queensland Rail network as part of Cross River Rail construction. These assets include new and refurbished stations, stabling yards and track configuration changes.
You will be responsible for fostering a program management and governance framework for which adherence to requirements, progress, risks and issues can be monitored, reported and managed appropriately. You will work closely with internal project teams including Rail, Integration and Systems (RIS) and New Gold Coast Stations (NGCS) and key external project stakeholders including Queensland Rail and the Department of Transport and Main Roads with the aim to foster a collaborative structure with transparency and alignment across agencies and contractors to ensure customer, operational and delivery outcomes.
Reporting directly to the Director Customer and Network Integration, the successful applicant will work from our modern corporate offices in Brisbane's CBD. This opportunity is offered as a fixed term contract until December 2025 with probable extensions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish and maintain consistent management tools and reporting outputs to support governance and the wider Asset Changes program.
- Actively identify risk and issues relating to the asset change program and acceptance and operationalisation of assets including the development and execution of mitigation measures.
- Engage regularly with stakeholders to ensure correct information flows, and that adequate stakeholder input is received.
- Prepare correspondence and deliver briefings on planned or unplanned asset changes to executive management and Minister's Office.
- Monitor any changes / risks in the construction schedule that may affect planned asset changes.
- Undertake continual improvement exercises and lessons learnt activities post asset changest.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in a senior position supporting public transport asset operationalisation in a complex multi-agency environment.
- Demonstrated success in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of robust program management, governance and reporting frameworks works to support public transport infrastructure programs.
- Proven ability to proactively identifying risks, issues and opportunities, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement capabilities with exposure to both senior management and technical professions including the ability to negotiate and influence positive project outcomes and foster a highly collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal communication including detailed briefing notes, correspondence and the provision of high-level advice to senior management and stakeholders.
- Experience in leading a high performing team who are able to manage tight deadlines and sudden changes in priorities.
- Project Management or other relevant qualifications are highly regarded.
