Queensland Rail is currently in a huge project development phase with our Cross River Rail initiative well underway. We also have an imminent increase in our asset base coming, which will see us grow from $5 billion in assets to $20 billion in assets by 2030. Growth projections anticipate we will grow to 80 million passenger journeys a year

As a result of this extraordinary growth, Queensland Rail is currently seeking a Group Asset Manager Strategy & Planning. This role reports directly into the Executive General Manager of SEQ Assets. In this role you will have 7 direct reports which link into a section of the business with over 160 staff.

This permanent opportunity sits in our SEQ Assets division and is based in our Brisbane CBD offices. As the Group Asset Manager Strategy & Planning, you be leading the Strategy & Planning team, playing an integral part in keeping the network assets in the rail infrastructure operational at all times.

**About the role**

In this role you will represent the Asset Owner as Asset Manager for all SEQ Assets. Your key functions will be providing leadership for Asset management strategy, development and delivery of SEQ asset capital investment and outcome requirements from asset maintenance areas through Asset Management Plans. Lead data governance and planning and provide logístical services to maintenance areas to ensure an integrated and data driven approach to deliver organisational performance targets.

**Daily overview**:

- Lead asset management and asset strategies across all asset classes.
- Manage investment strategies for SEQ annual Capital Plan and provide strategic direction across a mutli-discipline capital investment portfolio.
- Represent Queensland Rail in relevant government bodies, industry associations and stakeholder groups.
- In association with the EGM of SEQ Assets, achieve the SEQ business targets and objectives.
- Provide leadership as part of the SEQ Senior Leadership Team focused on strategies, passenger experience, stakeholder engagement, financial and commercial excellence.
- Analyse data for capability and provide logístical expertise inventory management and maintenance.

**We’re looking for**:

- Experience managing billions of dollars in assets with commercial profitability and logístical experience.
- Proven experience assessing design and implementation with technical engineering capability.
- Someone who can use their logistics and integrated planning skills to manage a large inbound supply chain.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to set capital plans using risk-based asset analysis.
