**About the position**:

The General Manager, Academic Support Services has high level accountability for leading complex academic support services across multiple locations for the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, supporting academic governance, and for leading integration and partnerships within the University, healthcare and sporting organisations, and other external stakeholders.

The academic support teams are responsible for providing a range of functions in curriculum, assessment, accreditation, learning and teaching, student support services and student wellbeing for the Faculty. There are approximately thirty staff including five directly reporting managers, plus a substantial casual workforce. As the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing expertise, support and advice to managers and senior academic staff whilst ensuring integration with other services and compliance with University and Faculty policies, procedures, and guidelines.

The General Manager is based in Robina and reports to the Faculty Business Director.

We are looking for someone who has:

- Demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of learning, teaching and research support services and contracts, and knowledge of the regulatory environment including tertiary education quality and standards.
- Demonstrated capability to inspire, support and successfully lead large, complex, high-performance teams in a service delivery environment.
- Advanced communication, engagement, problem solving, negotiation, and mediation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- High level skills in the leadership and management of human resources, finances, risk identification and mitigation, contract negotiation and management.
- Demonstrated experience in systems improvement and governance.
- Demonstrated excellence in client services including responding to complaints, advising on legal and policy issues, and developing quality relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

**Salary details**:

The salary for this position is $119,312.21 plus 10.5% superannuation per annum, commensurate with skills and experience.
