The core purpose of the Digital Designer is to effectively help manage Variety’s internal and external communications to ensure the positive positioning of Variety - the Children’s Charity in the South Australian community and to grow awareness of the brand. The Digital Designer is to support the Marketing and Communications Manager with the development, implementation and ongoing management of a Marketing and Communications plan that drives brand awareness, engages with our stakeholders and maximises the benefits of Variety’s marketing and fundraising activities. This role is part-time - 0.6 FTE.

**THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
- Assist in the delivery of the Marketing and Communications plan incorporating all the organisations marketing strategies, marketing communications, public relations activities, and stakeholder communications, both external and internal.
- Manage relevant collateral to ensure consistency in our messaging whilst being innovative and creative to achieve cut through in an otherwise cluttered and competitive environment.
- Develop and implement specific social media initiatives and content and regular website updates.
- Design and deliver a broad range of collateral for internal and external consumption.
- Keep up to date with latest trends in digital and identify new opportunities.
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organisational and personal communication skills.
- Experience in the design and production of print and electronic collateral.
- Experience in using web-based content management systems, electronic direct mail programs and social media platforms.
- Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and design.
- Committed to working with cross functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Experienced in creating and delivering presentations.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Experience in working within a team to achieve collaborative goals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver high quality outputs.
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight time constraints when necessary.

**IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE**:

- A minimum 5-year Digital design experience
- Be Creative, innovative, resourceful, strategic, analytical
- An eye for detail
- Strong interpersonal skills that are effective at all levels
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience in creating content that resonates with the audience and helps drive fundraising and brand KPIS
- Keep up-to-date and accurate records in relation to activities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the database and all communication systems.
- High level of computer literacy (knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot, Raisely, Humanitix, Office 365, WordPress and Canva would be an advantage).
- A strong work ethic, trustworthy and reliable.
- Passion for storytelling and an understanding of the power of words to influence.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to deliver outstanding service to internal contact.
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant equivalent work experience
- Highly motivated, with a willingness to cover all nature of tasks and do whatever needs doing.
- Innovative, flexible and adaptable with an ability to thrive under pressure and enjoy new challenges.
- Compassionate attitude and understanding of the needs of people in crisis.
- Strong interest in how to benefit South Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with a disabilty.
