We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Administrator to join our team.

**Position Overview**: The Medical Administrator will be responsible for managing the administrative operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning. This role requires a proactive and organized individual with excellent communication and multitasking skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Greet patients and visitors, schedule appointments, manage calendars, handle inquiries, and maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
- Provide administrative support to medical staff, coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and manage office supplies and equipment.
- Liaising with patients, referrers, hospitals, insurers, ADF and other stakeholders
- Maintain and update electronic health records, ensure compliance with data protection regulations, and generate and analyse operational reports.
- Working with our outsourced billers to ensure all procedures are accurately invoiced
- Act as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and external stakeholders, manage communications, and coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments.
- Work collaboratively with medical and administrative staff, provide training and support to new staff, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Relevant qualification in medical administration or related field.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a medical administrative role, preferably within an orthopaedic or specialist practice.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Job type**:Full time

**Salary**: $74,000+ Superannuation

Pay: From $74,000.00 per year
