We are seeking a **Principal Advisor, Process Development** to provide technical expertise for Order of Magnitude studies, processing flow sheets and associated process technologies. You will support project and operational teams by optimizing mineral and ore processing technologies to maximise performance across safety, cost, customer, and regulatory areas.

Reporting to the Chief Advisor - Process Development, working within a collaborative and exciting environment, you will:

- Support project teams, studies, and operations within your areas of expertise for process flow sheet development for complex ore bodies
- Influence technical and operational leaders and other functional leaders by developing significant process improvements to problems with high impact/cost to the business.
- Participate in technical and scientific discussions to share knowledge, best practices and information on benchmark.
- Develop advanced technical training courses and facilitate, as required, technical training whilst acting as a technical coach for colleagues and internal stakeholders
- Establish strategic relations with internal and external stakeholders who may influence and impact outcomes
- Solve problems of great complexity related to own sector of activity, taking into account the global business context
- Act as a credible technical resource
- Organise and coordinate project teams to solve process engineering problems
- Utilise both problem solving/project leading tools and soft skills to facilitate working sessions with colleagues
- Coach and transfer technical expertise to colleagues

What you will bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Degree qualifications in industrial chemistry, process/chemical engineering, or extractive metallurgy
- Expert knowledge and extensive processing expertise with an emphasis on hydrometallurgical unit operations, including leaching, solid/liquid separation, solvent extraction, ion exchange, electrowinning and water treatment technologies
- Experience in pyrometallurgical processing
- Cross commodity experience, with exposure to base metals, precious metals and critical minerals
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capability with a collaborative relationship building approach
- Excellent analysis, problem solving and decision-making capability
- Ability to identify and capitalise on innovative approaches, fostering relationships with R&D providers
- Sound written and spoken verbal communication and presentation skills
