**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Medications Analyst to join the EMR Project team at Northern Health.
The EMR medication analyst will be responsible for the analysis, design, build, configuration, testing and conversion of the EMR at Northern Health. You will be responsible for the review of existing workflows, content and configuration to contribute to the optimization of current workflows and the design of new workflows.
As a medication analyst you will be a pharmacist with strong clinical workflow knowledge and possess business analytic skills. You will have the ability to work autonomously and analyse clinical workflows, collect and review data in the data collection workbooks. The analyst will be responsible for reviewing all aspects of medication management including but not limited to drug order catalogue and formulary, additions to Pharmaceutical benefits and updates to the Cerner drug database.
You will engage and facilitate agreement between Northern Health as to the design and configuration of the solution and will be responsible for testing and assisting with development of training materials. You will manage all your deliverables to ensure timelines and objectives are met. Working collaboratively with the EMR team, Pharmacy Department and clinical staff for all EMR matters related to medication management and electronic prescribing.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Registered pharmacist with APHRA.
- Demonstrated experience working in a tertiary hospital environment and understanding of clinical workflows in the acute and subacute inpatient settings.
- Critical thinking, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to investigate and understand issues along with their clinical implications.
