Synthesis financial/insurance information to determine future excesses payable

**Your new company**

This government Department is responsible for the management and regulation of health services across the community. The Corporate Services team are looking to progress a review of their insurance excesses that are payable to the Department, and are looking for a policy analyst to join the team initially until 30 June 2024.

**Your new role**

Working independently within a close-knit project team, you will support the team in determining if their current insurance policies and excesses payable are contemporary, fit for purpose and in line with current public sector guidelines. You will be required to review existing documents and procedures, and synthesise ideas to consider whether the current processes are viable or not.

You will work with stakeholders throughout the organisation who don’t necessarily speak the language of insurance and finance. While you don’t need to be an expert in this field, you need to be able to communicate in clear English.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you must be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance and meet the following criteria:

- Experience in undertaking policy roles, financial/insurance background is not required. HOWEVER financial nous is required.
- Exceptional writing skills with experience preparing briefs and reports
- Basic data analysis skills
- A flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
