**School Care Assistant Role**

Yarrambat PS School Council is seeking to employ an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Assistant.

Yarrambat Primary School OSHC Program aims to provide a safe, caring and engaging program as a service to families in the Yarrambat Primary School Community from from 7:00am-8:45am before school, and 3:30pm-6:00pm after school.

The OSHC Assitant will efficiently and effectively assist the OSHC Co-ordinator in the delivery of educational programs, undertake administrative duties including (but not limited to) managing staff rosters, handling children enrolments and family accounts, as well as support and guide the OSHC team in the day to day running of the service. This will include assisting (but not limited to) in the planning of activities and experiences, preparing menus and food preparation and the management of general studen behaviour and wellbeing inline with school policy. The Out of Hours School Care Assistant will work collaboratively with the Out of Hours School Care Co-ordinator.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include:
Assisting in the day to day operations of the Before and After School Care Program. This will involve supervision and support of staff in the program.

Liaise with OSHC Co-ordinator, OSHC staff, parents and children in order to develop a program of interesting and stimulating activities and events for primary school aged children.

Ensure all children are supervised at all times, both indoors and outdoors, either personally or by an OSHC staff member to meet ratio guidelines.

Ensure materials are used safely and receive reular maintenance compliant with OH&S DET requirements.

Assit in Promoting an environment where children, staff and parents feel comfortable and welcome, in line with our School Values.
