**External Sales Representative**

**Who we are looking for**:
We are currently looking for an External Sales Rep. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing the profitable sales of the company’s products by developing relationships with new and existing customers, providing quality service and information, selling on differentiation/ solutions and identifying areas for improvement and opportunities..

**What you’ll do**:

- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
- Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specifications.
- Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
- Negotiate prices and terms of sales within approved policy.
- Maintain customer records and sales calls, using automated systems such as SAP and the CRM tool.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Minimum 3 - 5 years proven record of field sales achievement and profitable growth in a similar industry (manufacturing, metals, engineered products, construction materials)
- Experience with sales to wholesalers and direct to projects.
- Ability to sell on differentiation and solution selling.

**Within 3 months, you’ll**:

- Complete your Atkore immersion program.
- Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
- Gain an understanding of your team.
- Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.

**Within 6-months, you’ll**:

- Have a better understanding of the wholesale market in your region
- Built relationships with various customers
- Have a solid understanding of the sales process

**Within 12-months, you’ll**:

- Actively sourcing new business
- Generating revenue for the Company
- Driving sales activities within your region
- Contributing to Atkore Sales across the Company
