Human Resources Advisor

In the role of Human Resources Advisor, you will provide high-quality and timely operational advice and support to employees in a fast-paced work environment. Your role will be critical in enhancing our customers ability to deliver their core business through the effective management of human resources.Accountabilities include: - You will be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the Queensland Public Service values. Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Provide specialist advice on operational human resource management matters that aligns with legislative and departmental requirements. This will extend across the full range of human resource management functions, Including but not limited to: - Workforce and succession planning. - Establishment management.
- Recruitment and selection. - Remuneration and conditions. - Employee management. Support the production of high-quality workforce reports for Corporate Services Hub business partners, to inform workforce management decisions across the branches and projects we support. Contribute to the development of partnerships and collaborative alignments with significant stakeholders internal and external to the department. Liaise with branch managers and directors to discuss HR matters and provide guidance and support. Contribute to developing and implementing strategic branch-wide initiatives that support our business improvement priorities. Manage and monitor conflicting accountabilities by showing initiative, taking responsibility to achieve tasks and adapting to a changing market and client expectations. Provide direction and support to the HR Officer within the team to assist in developing their capabilities and knowledge. Actively participate in the effective, efficient and timely delivery of HR services across all business units as required.This position reports to the Senior Human Resource Advisor, Corporate Services Hub.Desirable requirements: - While not mandatory, qualifications in HR, IR, Law, Business or similar will be highly regarded. Knowledge of operational data and reporting environments and dashboard platforms would be highly regarded, including PowerBI, Tableau, SAP, and MS Excel. We understand that some people may require adjustments to the workplace or the way the work is performed.
