As the Principal Treasury Analyst, Education team, Social Policy, you will work in a multidisciplinary team guiding the development and implementation of fiscally-sound public policy across a range of portfolios. You will lead the development of advice to key Treasury stakeholders, including the Treasurer and senior executives.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will consider complex policy and financial matters and develop strategic policy initiatives. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the effective management of financial resources and shape Queensland's financial future.
**In this role, you will**: - Provide expert financial analysis, policy development, and strategic advice to clients and senior executives on a broad range of complex public policy, financial management and economic performance issues. Exercise judgement, authority and influence to effectively coordinate the management of client requirements. Provide strategic advice on risk identification and assessment and in the evaluation of best practice strategies. Manage positive relationships with clients and stakeholders on difficult and complex issues and negotiate positive outcomes. Represent Treasury on internal and external committees and interdepartmental working groups and assist the Executive Director in oral briefings for ministerial offices. Prepare and guide the delivery of highly complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, publications and correspondence often within tight timeframes.
**What experience you will bring**: - Leadership in support of the Executive Director to lead the team under pressure to deliver on outcomes
- Providing expert advice that is strategic, practical and solutions-oriented
- Influential communication (written and verbal) that is tailored to the audience
- Relationship management that encourages sharing of information and collaboration
- Effective judgement, communication and understanding different perspectives in developing solutions and working with others.Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications will be are highly regarded.
