Your new opportunityWe currently have multiple entry level policy focussed roles that will give you the unique opportunity to partner with various agencies to resolve complex policy and budget issues, as well as assist in the development of policy initiatives. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of clients, including other Treasury work units, State Government departments, statutory authorities, and the Commonwealth Government. Your role will span across various policy areas such as health, disabilities, justice, police, natural resources, and agriculture.
Permanent and temporary opportunities are available, with the temporary roles ranging from 6 to 12 months with the possibility of extension.
**In this role, you will**: - Prepare and deliver reports, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence, often within tight timeframes. Provide advice, information, and support on a broad range of policy, financial
- Maintain and manage positive working relationships. Represent Treasury in meetings and assist in preparing the Executive Director and/or Assistant Under Treasurer in oral briefings for ministerial offices. Provide strategic advice on the improvement of departmental/agency performance (financial and non-financial) and the implementation of best practice improvement strategies. Work collegiately with analysts across policy teams in both Social Policy and Industry Policy
**What experience you will bring**: - Experience with analysis and formation of advice on public policy matters & strategic and/or financial management issues
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, Government processes and networks
- Ability to write and communicate clearly
- Flexible approach, and an ability to work in an agile team in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
