As a registered ELICOS provider, we understand the importance of offering comprehensive counselling services to support our diverse student body. We are currently seeking qualified Counselling Staff to join our team and contribute to our mission of fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
**About the Role**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide individual and group counselling to students on academic and future progress, as well as welfare matters.
- Offer culturally sensitive support and guidance tailored to the diverse needs of international students.
- Develop and deliver workshops and resources on academic and personal well-being.
- Ensure counselling services are available and accessible to students at appropriate times.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to address and resolve student concerns.
- Maintain confidential records and documentation related to counselling sessions and student progress.
**About You**
- Hold formal qualifications in counselling, with experience in providing support in an intercultural context.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges faced by international students.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide effective support.
- Be proactive, reliable, and committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for students.
- Have experience in developing and delivering counselling services and workshops.
**Requirements**:
- Formal qualifications in counselling (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counselling or Psychology).
- Relevant experience in providing counselling services to students, preferably in an ELICOS or educational setting.
- Ability to offer guidance on academic progression and welfare matters.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
- Understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivity to the needs of international students.
