Job Summary

Working without immediate supervision or direction, undertake the full range of challenging end to end advanced activation and assurance functions, aligned to our current and future technology products and services.

Operating onsite to action, coordinate and manage service requests, incidents, project tasks and requests for information on the customers ICT environment. Workload will be allocated from the service management tool that will need to be managed to ensure work is completed within SLA’s and sufficient information is added.

This role will work with our internal Defence teams to manage and action requests on our Defence Testing Environment.

**Job Description**:
An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Data Centre Lead - Facilities to join the Defence Canberra Integration Lab Team.

The opportunity:
This role involves undertaking the full range of challenging end to end advanced activation and assurance functions, aligned to our current and future technology products and services. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing service requests, incidents, project tasks and requests for information on the customers ICT environment. This role will work with our internal Defence teams to manage and action requests on our Defence Testing Environment.

Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Managing workload within the customers services management tool to meet SLAs- Taking ownership of site issues and incidents and striving for resolutions in the shortest time to meet customer expectations and service level agreements.- Regional escalation points for all Data Centre related issues and queries- Provide assistance in complex scoping/quoting and advice in parallel with field workforce including sub-contractors.- Network/Service Facilities infrastructure condition assessments & associated reporting- Work with Data Centre Manager in the management of Service requests, Data Centre usage and Scheduling, Change and Test activities, Escalations, Capacity and Demand management, Data Centre Tenancy, Defence Tenancy- Produce and maintain Standard Security Orders, Standard Operating Procedures, Security Register and Security Documentation- Security custodian and management of security containers/CDR- Management of Security Incidents- Provide guidance to Defence Stakeholders on how to obtain and maintain access to the Data Centre- Delivery of Communications room access Management and Escort requests.- Undertake an assessment of applicant’s security clearance profiles in Defence Online Security Domain- Access Control and Key Management- Alarm Management - access, response, maintenance with possible recall to reset alarms- Certification and Accreditation of the space- Custodian of Defence Cryptographic Control Authority- Co-ordinate the provision of Defence Cryptographic Control Authority briefings to staff who require to access the Defence ICT environment where it is deemed to be required.- Maintain the list of staff that have Defence Cryptographic Control Authority briefing.- Provide backfilling for other regional resources within Telstra (Regional Facilities Lead, Regional Operations Specialist etc).- Good knowledge of WH&S and safety standards around facilities work.- Management of customer expectations and delivering the best outcomes for Telstra and our customer.- Provide weekly reporting or escalation to the Regional Delivery Manager.

- High-level Customer Service Skills, with good communication, negotiation and facilitation skills- High level of organisational skills and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise to ensure delivery of critically important tasks.- Proven ability to work autonomously and to work under tight timeframes and deadlines to deliver required outcomes- Understanding of HSE practices including adopting a risk management approach in relation to managing a safe workplace.- Ability to work with multiple and sometimes competing requirements across several domains such as Security, HSE, Workflow and Customer.- Maintain adequate operational tools, materials, equipment and products to maximise efficiency.
