**What you will be doing**:
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Health Information & Records Service at Nepean Hospital as a Records and Control Processing Officer, working night shifts. In this role you be responsible for the provision of an efficient and effective health information and record management service at Nepean Hospital by ensuring the health care record is available to facilitate an optimal level of direct and indirect patient care 24 hours, 7 days week.

Perform procedures associated with a variety of medical record functions across the 24/7 service. These procedures include record preparation both paper and electronic, record tracking, record filing and processing, record retrieval, release of information, iPM maintenance, loose sheet filing and processing, photocopying, printing reports from iPM and Powerchart, receiving and making telephone calls, and receiving and sending faxes.

An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

- Energetic worker able to and with the flexibility to work various rostered shifts to maintain a 24/7 record service
- Proven ability to work as an effective team member
- Good understanding of the purpose of patient records in a patient care environment
- Good understanding of information privacy and confidentiality
- High level oral and written communication skills
- Previous clerical experience including use of computers, phones, photocopiers, faxes and filing systems
- Positive attitude and the flexibility to maintain work standards and a service focus in a changing environment
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks to ensure shift objectives are met.
