**About the role**:
Performance audit is a core function for the department alongside financial audit. The Performance Audit Branch looks at how well government services, programs and projects are being managed. We review important citizen focussed areas and help government agencies improve their processes to deliver better outcomes to the South Australian community. Our work is reported to Parliament to keep everyone informed and the public sector accountable.

As a Performance Auditor, you will help plan, conduct and report on performance audits under guidance from the team.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

- be comfortable with work that is often multi-faceted or complex
- have a curious mindset.

**Essential requirements**:

- Be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of applying.

**Desirable requirements**:

- A graduate or post-graduate qualification in an appropriate analytic discipline such as business, economics, accounting, law or social science.
- Membership of a professional body as recognised by the Auditor-General.
