Our client is an international technology and engineering firm who are ramping up a new very large multi-year program of work in Melbourne. They are seeking a Project Scheduler/Planner to join their Melbourne office in a permanent role.
**The role**
As the Project Scheduler / Planner, you will support the Program Manager from the early stages of a complex, high-profile program of work that will include both hardware and software development, testing, rollout, maintenance and support. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Developing and Maintaining projet schedules and ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines
- Ensuring that project timelines, project dependencies, and interdependencies between projects and programs are effectively managed
- Optimising project efficiency and contributing to successful project outcomes
- Tracking project progress against established schedules and milestones
- Report on project status and provide regular updates to project managers and leadership
- Generating reports and presentations for project reviews and stakeholder communication
- Integrating and automating the program view feed from the projects and other sources such as Financial systems
**About you**
The successful applicant will have:
- Solid experience in a previous project or program scheduling / planning role
- In addition to experienced schedulers/planners this role could also suit a senior project analyst with extensive scheduling experience
- Strong skills and experience working with Primavera P6 - MANDATORY
- A background in either software/technology projects, or engineering projects
- Ability to manage schedules of 15,000+ lines
- Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) and the ability to provide recommendations to management
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, a proactive approach and the ability to follow up to ensure outcomes are achieved
- Must have full working rights in Australia with no restrictions or expiry
