**Training & Capabilities Advisor - Business Operations and Quality (BOQ) Team**

**About the team**

Business Operations & Quality provides a range of shared services to Licensing and Funds. The team consists of a range of specialists that provide support in process optimisation, knowledge management, insights & reporting, risk, learning & development, and secretariat services.

**The role is responsible for**:

- Identify, assess, and analyse current workforce capability levels and gaps to build organisational capabilities in support of business objectives.
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the business's plans, priorities, and strategies for learning and development, helping managers translate this direction into team and individual development plans.
- Create and maintain a training needs analysis (TNA) in consultation with managers to identify gaps between current skill and competency levels and required skill levels to meet current and future business requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain skills matrices and training plans for current positions and succession planning.
- Deliver training solutions using a variety of delivery modes to enhance employee capability.
- Monitor, evaluate, review, and report on the effectiveness of training and development solutions to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Prepare reports on training effectiveness, including collecting and analysing information, updating, and maintaining relevant systems to ensure accuracy and currency of information for planning, review, and continual improvement of services.
- Work with key stakeholders to promote the development and acceptance of a learning culture in the workplace while maintaining sound operational knowledge of established Government and Agency processes and contemporary approaches to adult learning to deliver quality service.

**Key challenges**:

- Maintaining an awareness of current industry developments to ensure high-quality training is delivered that consistently aligns to organisational objectives within an agile and continuously changing environment
- Managing priorities to meet the challenges of a demanding and complex workload, whilst ensuring high level accuracy and quality of work
- Negotiating and re-prioritising training schedules, given heavy workloads, tight deadlines, and conflicting high-level commitments
- Top of Form
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable).
- Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess the ability to work effectively as both a team member and independently.
- Be capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure and meeting competing project deadlines.
- Embrace a positive "can-do" attitude and exhibit self-motivation.
- Display advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Approach problem-solving with an analytical mindset.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and circumstances.
- Have demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating training programs.
- Confidently facilitate training sessions, engage in conversations, provide coaching, and support team members through change.
- Collaborate effectively with the business to identify trends, themes, and lessons learned to bridge knowledge gaps.
- Manage oneself and work harmoniously as part of a highly engaged team.
- Exhibit a passion for customer service and a track record in building a culture of continuous improvement.
- Implement an evaluation process to improve and assess the success of intended training outcomes.
