The Development Support Technician is primarily responsible for assisting with the development & evaluation of connected vehicle related OEM products, in accordance to all relevant regulations, in order to achieve effective delivery of products and programs for the organisation’s Connected Vehicle Services.

Automotive design experience is important for the role.

Experience required for the role:

- Degree qualification in engineering, electronics, communications, computer systems, software or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of testing complex systems such as telematics / multimedia / In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system, IT, software development and in-vehicle electronics system development processes.
- Strong understanding of Evaluation and Issue Management and associated industry standard tools.
- Relevant industry experience through the phases of design, development, evaluation, launch and operations.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office, JIRA, Confluence, Vector suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Accountabilities:

- Contributes to the implementation and maintenance of agreed processes and procedures in order to achieve product development objectives.
- Supports the evaluation activity of products and service ensuring that quality standards are met. Investigates and resolves issues relating to connected vehicle systems.
- Monitors operational performance and resolves issues as they arise.
- Gathers and summarises connected vehicle related technical data and instructions. Supports liaison with stakeholders regarding connected vehicle by updating specifications and documentation.
- Supports scheduling and planning activities for projects.
- Prepares and distributes data and reports, in order to ensure sound decision making based on accurate and timely information.
