As we embark on the next stage of our ambitious growth plan, we are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Officer to join us at our Head Office in Preston.**About the Role**
Based at our Head Office in Preston, our Accounts Payable Team is responsible for the efficient maintenance and processing of all Accounts Payable transactions for Chemist Warehouse.- As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will join a collaborative team of professionals in which your primary focus will be to process a high-volume of accounts payable transactions, ensuring that all payments are correctly authorised and in-line with the related trading terms.- Key Responsibilities_
- End of month payments as per trading terms
- Other ad hoc payments
- Ensuring authorisation and approvals for payment of vendor invoices
- Statement reconciliations
- Monthly Clearing report
- Maintain internal controls compliance checklist

**About you**
The successful applicant will be someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment where they are required to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a very high attention to detail.- To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong history working as an Accounts Payable Officer (4+ years)
- Competent in working with Accounting Software Packages
- Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office, namely Word, Excel and Outlook
- Results Focused with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organised and with an ability to prioritise and multitask
- Motivated and capable of keeping up with a fast paced and high-volume environment
- Capable of working autonomously whilst respecting the dynamics of a team
- Effective communication skills verbally and written
