**What does the role involve?**
Reporting to the ‘Head of Corporate Security & Intelligence’, you are tasked with ensuring Australia Post complies with regulated domestic and international air cargo and mail security requirements including **_UPU_** standards by:

- Driving the organisations vision of being an industry leader with a safe and secure air cargo and mail network which protects our staff, the community, and the aviation sector
- Providing leadership, development, direction, and training to ensure compliance with the **_RACA_** programs of the Group
- Overseeing the implementation of all aspects of the **_EACE_** screening notice requirements and operating an ongoing audit program to measure compliance with air cargo security and other obligations
- Acting as the point of contact and liaison for security-related audits and other regulatory compliance matters
- Liaising, influencing, and negotiating internally across Australia Post and critical external government departments, statutory bodies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders (e.g., **_Department of Home Affairs, Civil Aviation Safety Authority, Department of Agriculture, and ARPANSA_**)
- Providing expert advice and direction including technical advice relating to policies and procedures as well as working closely with our National Dangerous Goods Manager
- Representing the Australia Post Group at government and industry forums as our air cargo security SME

You are also responsible for supporting our **Post 26 strategy** and financial operating plans.

**What are we looking for?**
- Conversant with the Commonwealth Aviation Transport Security Act and Regulations
- The ability to read and interpret government regulations and notices concerning aviation transport security matters
- A strong working knowledge of the aviation transport security environment, and awareness of existing and emerging security risks
- Experience in writing procedural and operational documents
