Eden Ritchie is seeking an AO7 Contracts & Procurement Officer to undertake procurement activities, work with stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage performance of contractual service arrangements and manage Department’s various ICT software and services arrangements.
- Multiple roles available
- 6 months with possible extension
- Brisbane CBD

**As the Contracts & Procurement Officer, your key responsibilities will include**:

- Carry out procurement and contract related activities for high value and risk arrangements
- Develop procurement strategies and lead the delivery of complex procurement processes that will form new or changed high-risk, high value contracts
- Track procurement activity progress and ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with Department’s policies and procedures, and that all procurement decisions are documented
- Build and maintain positive and respectful working relationships with suppliers to create transparency of operations and best outcomes for Department
- Proactively identify and plan for Department’s procurement needs through regular and active engagement with stakeholders including project managers and internal business representatives
- Prepare succinct and accurate Executive briefs to seek approval from senior staff and provide advice on complex procurement issues
- Consult with special legal counsel to negotiate on complex high risk, high value contracts
- Attend and present at committee meetings and working groups as required
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, and contract deliverables are being met
- Manage complex services arrangements, including:

- collating, interpreting and synthesising various procurement and contract documents
- verifying complex invoicing to contract terms and conditions
- Analyse interdependent contracts to rectify potential performance issues, to amalgamate services or to determine future market opportunities for obtaining better value for money

**The successful applicant will demonstrate**:

- Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement and contract management
- Demonstrated experience in Local / State Government contracts and procurement, particularly ITC (GITC / QITC is beneficial)
- Well-developed written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders and escalate issues/ delays
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to consider contracts in the broader organisational context
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads to agreed timeframes
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite
