**The client**:
The world’s largest independent designer, manufacturer, service/distributor of diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies.

**Where the role sits**:
You will be working for the Distribution Business Unit which focuses on reconditioning diesel engines. It also functions as the warehouse that stores and distributes all engine spare parts. This role supports multiple projects within the Supply chain area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting the inventory team to deliver on objectives such as excess and obsolete reduction and related supply chain reporting requirements
- Using analytics and algorithms to determine the optimal level of inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain within specific constraints
- Providing guidance and expertise in planning parameter refinement
- Interpreting KPIs to understand end-customer impact
- Managing Department and Country KPI’s for Supply Chain to ensure they are delivered and communicated in an effective manner
- Operating in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine the next steps to drive improvement
- Assessing gaps in the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables
- Supporting the management of transportation suppliers and transportation spending for our largest department variable expense area
- Using the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans
- Utilising adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem-solving
- Support calendar management, travel planning & arrangements (particularly focused on Australia)
- Run reports that support supply chain logistics and planning
- Take keynotes/minutes in key meetings and engage in key department meetings to ensure objectives are achieved, and outcomes communicated
- Assisting in facilitating change management within projects
- Coordinating the training and development schedule for the team members

**The person**:

- Preferably someone who has experience working within the supply chain or inventory in a coordinator type of position
- Good communication both written and verbal
- Able to communicate and engage with all different levels and types of stakeholders
- Proven track record of supporting the delivery of outcomes from beginning to end
- Willingness to learn and take accountability
- Proactive with a high level of time management skills
- Experience utilising ERP systems, MS Office suite i.e Excel, PowerBI
