- To support the Director - Industry Safety in the management and day to day operation of the regional Inspectorates and to facilitate the implementation of the integrated compliance framework against the legislation administered by WorkSafe Tasmania.The Department of Justice supports reasonable adjustment requests in any stage of the assessment process to remove barriers and facilitate full participation in all aspects of employment for applicants with disability. **Hours per fortnight**:
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

**Duties**:

- Oversee the day to day operations of the regional Inspectorates and to facilitate the implementation of the integrated compliance framework.
- In consultation with the Director - Industry Safety:

- Ensure efficient delivery of components of WorkSafe Tasmania’s business plan for which the Division is responsible.
- Deliver an ongoing programs to identify operational improvements in the area of risk and compliance, and coordinate the implementation, monitoring and review of any process changes.
- Manage assigned human, physical, information and financial resources in accordance with Government Policy and the strategic direction of WorkSafe Tasmania.
- Participate as an active member of the Inspectorate’s Leadership Team in setting the strategic direction and in decision making, problem solving and planning functions operating from a whole of Branch perspective.
- Provide authoritative advice, direction, coaching and support to Regional Managers.
- Coordinate the investigation of complaints and incidents, including the preparation of high-level general, ministerial and legal documents.
- Develop and maintain on-going relationships with nominated industry bodies, state and Commonwealth departments and authorities, and other related national organisations.

**Essential Requirements**:

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
