Suncorp Group’s Desktop Assessor is accountable for accurately assessing property and contents damage and determining claim quantum and scope under the relevant PDS.

Through their customer interactions and support for Claims Managers, Assessors deliver brilliant service, providing customers with peace of mind during the claims process.

**What you’ll do**
- Utilise the Virtual Assessing tool to assess customers claims for property and contents loss or damage, determine policy coverage (claim quantum, scope & schedule), work closely with builders and determine reserve within delegation levels
- Proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes and claim progress to stakeholders, including customers, Claims Managers, Repairers and Suppliers
- Deliver professional and brilliant service when completing desktop and virtual assessments, interacting with customers on the Claims Managers request
- Support the Claims Manager to identify customer resolution strategies to minimise customer escalations
- Determine an appropriate claim fulfilment method that balances customer needs with business outcomes
- Identify customers experiencing vulnerability and take appropriate action to ensure the customer is supported
- Respond to customer and stakeholder requests within expected or agreed timeframes
- Clearly document all decisions made and reasons, including ownership details, reserve changes and acceptance/rejection of claims

**What you’ll bring**
- Minimum 3 years Home Claims insurance experience
- Strong ability to interpret policies and to determine the correct policy response
- Capability to use different technology/systems
- Trade background and/or Assessing/Loss Adjusting experience (desired)
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Proven performer in customer service roles
- Skilled in analysis, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills
