Learning Design Manager

Full-time/Part-time (4 days) - flexible hours

The primary purpose of the position will be to develop and maintain education materials and assessment tools, and manage regular industry revision so that programs are always current, relevant, high quality and meet legislative, member/employer, student and industry requirements.

**Key Results Areas**
- Manage and update content of existing learning management system so that educational approaches used by us to enhance the learning experience for all students, and are useful and simple for students to use.
- Contribute to and project manage the design and development of new, engaging online learning & assessment materials
- Coordinate the update or refresh of existing online materials in line with relevant schedules
- Undertake course improvement activities, including validation, moderation, and course review
- Knowledge of contemporary learning design, educational technologies and multimedia including experience in e-learning design and development using authoring tools and LMS.
- Excellent communication skills that will allow you to effectively engage our stakeholders and influence course and unit design with evidenced-based best-practice approaches and learning models.
- Work closely with SMEs (who write course content) and video producers
- Provide support to our education delivery team when required and address any specific course concerns

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- A bachelor’s degree and TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or upgraded TAE40110)
- Experience working in an L&D environment in a Higher Education provider or RTO
- Experience in developing learning resources to enhance students’ experience
- An active interest or qualifications in the legal/accounting/finance/financial services industry
- Project management and coordination skills
- Demonstrates sound understanding of adult learning principles.
- Work with policy and industry experts.
- The ability to communicate clearly and simply in writing is essential.
- Very strong interpersonal and social skills.
- Prepared to maintain and develop his/her financial services knowledge on an ongoing basis.
- A high level of overall competence is required - to work independently, and to train others.
- Understanding of learning management systems
